Toshiba recently released a new wireless charging integrated circuit chip TC7763WBG, said that it can allow equipment to achieve rapid wireless charging.
Compared to the existing wireless charging technology, this chip has two main features. First, it uses the Qi wireless charging standard, which makes it compatible with other devices and chargers that use the same standard. There are many competing wireless charging standards at the moment, but the Qi standard is the most widely used.
Another point is the charging speed. The TC7763WBG chip can achieve up to 5W output power, which can be comparable to wired charging, effectively reducing the charging wait time.
At present, this chip has not been used in any hardware devices, chargers or accessories, but Toshiba has already begun mass production.
One day, fast charging may spread to any smart device.
