Lamp head, lamp holder model naming method

1 Scope

This standard specifies the naming method for lamp holders and lamp holders for electric light sources.

2, symbol system

One of the purposes of this symbology is to make each of the assigned symbols short, easy to read, and helpful in indicating its purpose. The symbology consists of letters, numbers, and tokens, each with its own meaning. Only one symbol should be used for each particular lamp holder and lamp holder. This symbol system cannot be used to identify the material used for the lamp holder. Parts of a symbology shall be directly connected together without voids or other delimiters.

The complete symbol of the lamp holder is in the form described below.

Lamp head symbol: (a) (b) (c) - (d) / (e) × (f)

Lamp holder symbol: (a)(b)(c)-(d)

Note: Abbreviated lamp head symbols can be used, but such abbreviations must not be misunderstood.

The symbol in front of the slash in the lamp head symbol indicates what is important for the interchangeability in a response lamp holder with a lamp cap. This particular portion of the symbol is the same for the lamp cap and the lamp holder used. The portion of the lamp head symbol after the slash (if present) indicates some important dimensions of the lamp head, but these dimensions are not a necessary part of the lamp interchange requirements in the lamp holder. However, this size is important for the interchangeability of the lamp heads of different sources mounted on the same type of lamp.

Note: The term IEC is the opposite of the North American terminology. The contact part and the fixed part of the lampless lamp are called "lamp ends".

3, the basic symbol

The part (a) of the symbol consists of one or more uppercase letters, indicating the type of the lamp cap. Although the following letters indicate the lamp caps, they have similar meanings for the lamp holders.

B-- bayonet lamp holder;

BA-- bayonet cap, originally used for car lights;

BM-- bayonet lamp holder for miner's lamp;

E--(Edison) screw cap;

F--a lamp cap with an outgoing contact;

The lowercase letters after the letter F indicate different forms of the contact, for example:

A-- indicates a cylindrical pin;

B-- indicates a grooved pin;

C-- indicates a pin of a special shape;

G--two or more protruding contacts, such as pins or binding posts;

K--the base with wire connection;

P--pre-focusing lamp holder;

R--a lamp holder with a concave contact;

S--shell lamp cap--fixing the lamp cap without protruding parts in the lamp holder

SV--shell head with a tapered end (V-shaped);

T--phone head;

W--- indicates the lamp end, the electrical contact between the lamp and the lamp holder is directly through the wire on the surface of the lamp end, and the glass portion (or other part of the insulating material) at the lamp end is indispensable for the installation of the lamp in the lamp holder. Less. A single lamp cap for an insulating material that can replace the entire lamp end and have the same interchangeability requirement can also be represented by a symbol;

Note: Some of the earlier symbol shapes are similar to the shape, which results in the use of the letter symbol "W".

For example: E27--screw head;

Fa4-- a lamp cap with a cylindrical pin contact.

X--If a lamp head cannot be symbolized according to the above regulations, such lamp caps are represented by a capital letter X plus a series of numbers.

For example: X511 - glass end with two separate metal fins.

Modification method I

If the additional characteristics of a lamp head are included in the above capital letters and can be represented by additional capital letters, the letters that represent the most significant meaning in the entire letter combination should be ranked first.

For example: PK22s----pre-focusing head with wire connectors.

Modification method II

The lamp head whose characteristics are consistent with the provisions of this standard can use the symbols that have been used in the current lamp holder. If such a lamp cap is not (or is not fully) interchangeable in terms of electrical or mechanical requirements, the capital letter X, Y, Z or U, or a combination of two or more such letters is added after the base symbol of the lamp cap.
