Valve collaborates with Quark VR to develop wireless version of HTC Vive

There is no doubt that the PC-side virtual reality is more powerful, but one of the disadvantages developers and users need to face is that the PC end is cabled. For HTC Vive, which requires room-scale head movements, the disadvantage is even more magnified. But this situation will soon become past, because Valve or in the development of the wireless version of HTC Vive through Quark VR.

The British media VRFocus reported that in a Quark VR subscription email, the content stated that Quark VR is working with Valve to develop the wireless version of HTC Vive, and the prototype product will be unveiled in the fall. Quark VR is a software developer package produced by Bulgarian startup Intugame. In the first half of this year, it was reported that over 400 VR teams worldwide use Quark VR.

According to reports, the Quark VR can project VR images on the mobile terminal head and PC terminal head. HTC Vive can use this technology to achieve wireless functions. Basically, this is a live video stream, but it does not diminish any VR features or visual effects.

The official HTC Vive news has not yet been announced, and VRFocus has not shown the contents of the subscription email. Therefore, the authenticity of the message needs further confirmation.
