Zhan Qingxuan, a doctoral tutor, a professor at the School of Architecture of Tsinghua University, a national first-class registered architect, and a consultant to the China Lighting Society and an expert committee member of the Ministry of Construction. Professor Zhan Qingxuan has been engaged in the teaching and research of architectural design and architectural light environment for 46 years. He is one of the outstanding pioneers in the field of architectural lighting research in China. The research direction is urban and architectural light environment, and the research work focuses on two areas of lighting design application and lighting energy saving. Research topics include visual physiology and psychological response of light and color, aesthetic and physical laws, lighting quality evaluation, development of energy efficient lamps and engineering applications. In the past ten years, he has undertaken and completed more than ten national key international cooperation scientific research projects, three of which have won ministerial-level scientific and technological progress awards, published more than 50 papers, and trained 18 master students and 7 doctoral students. At the same time, the project completed more than 40 indoor and outdoor lighting projects planning and design, in which the Chairman Mao Memorial Hall night lighting actually won the Beijing Grand Prize; Wangfujing Commercial Street Night Lighting Planning and Design won the 1999 First Planning Commission Urban Design Award; Beijing Yipu River Park He was awarded the “China Living Environment Model Award†and the “United Nations World Habitat Environment Model Awardâ€. The main representative works include the night lighting design of Wangfujing Commercial Street, the night lighting design of Chairman Mao Memorial Hall, and the lighting design of Beijing Yipu River Park.
