The distributed control system is a system in which various data control devices, CRT displays, process channels (data acquisition and loop control) are organically connected by using a data communication network as a link. Its basic structure is shown in the figure, generally consisting of five functional parts.

(1) Data collector and process controller.

The data collector collects the analog and digital quantities that need to be monitored by the process input channel camera group for control and monitoring. The controller performs various controlled tasks based on various information collected by the data collector and operator instructions from the operator station.

(2) Operator operation station.

The operator operation station is composed of a CRT display and an operation keyboard. The operator controls the entire power plant production process through CRT observation and keyboard operation, so the operator operation station is the control center of the entire concentration control system.

(3) Data channels (or data highways, data communication networks).

The data channel is the skeleton system that constitutes the distributed system, through which it links the distributed controllers, data collectors, operator stations, engineer operating stations, and so on. The various functions are essentially one computer, but the software in the computer is different, and the tasks are different. For example, running an operator station is mainly about running and operating related program software, while data collection is program software related to running and data acquisition.

(4) Engineer operation station.

The engineer's operator station structure is similar to the operator's operator station. But the tasks are different. Engineer operations are primarily responsible for maintaining the safe operation of the control system. Engineers can change the parameters of the system operation through this operation station to maintain the normal operation of the system.

(5) Host computer.

The upper computer is mainly engaged in the management of the entire power plant, and is the "central" of the control system. The entire power plant is operated under its command. If the host computer is put into operation, it means that the distributed system reaches the highest control level.
