**What is a Motor?**
An electric motor is an electromagnetic device that converts electrical energy into mechanical energy based on the principles of electromagnetism. It works by using a magnetic field generated by a coil (stator winding) to interact with a rotor, creating rotational motion. In circuit diagrams, motors are typically represented by the letter "M" (previously "D" in older standards), while generators are denoted by "G". The primary function of a motor is to produce torque, acting as the power source for various machines and appliances.
The image below illustrates the basic structure of a motor, showing how the stator and rotor work together to generate motion:

**Motor Classification and Types**
Motors can be categorized in several ways depending on their working principle, structure, power type, and application. Here are some common classifications:
1. **By Power Type:**
- **DC Motors:** Powered by direct current. These include brushed and brushless types. Brushed DC motors can further be divided into permanent magnet and electromagnetic types. Electromagnetic DC motors include series-wound, shunt-wound, separately excited, and compound-wound motors. Permanent magnet DC motors come in rare earth, ferrite, and AlNiCo varieties.
- **AC Motors:** Powered by alternating current. These are further split into single-phase and three-phase motors.
2. **By Working Principle:**
- **DC Motor:** Operates on direct current.
- **Synchronous Motor:** Rotates at the same speed as the rotating magnetic field. It includes permanent magnet, reluctance, and hysteresis types.
- **Asynchronous Motor (Induction Motor):** Rotates slightly slower than the magnetic field speed. This category includes induction motors and AC commutator motors, which can be further divided into single-phase and three-phase types.
3. **By Starting Method:**
- Capacitor-start, capacitor-run, and split-phase motors are common types used in single-phase applications.
4. **By Purpose:**
- **Drive Motors:** Used in tools, household appliances, and industrial equipment.
- **Control Motors:** Include stepping and servo motors, used for precise motion control.
5. **By Rotor Structure:**
- **Squirrel Cage Induction Motor:** Common in many applications due to its simplicity.
- **Wound Rotor Induction Motor:** Offers more control over speed and torque.
6. **By Speed Control:**
- High-speed, low-speed, constant-speed, and variable-speed motors exist. Low-speed motors may use gear reductions or electromagnetic systems. Variable-speed motors include stepless and stepped types, with options like PWM, DC, and switched reluctance controls.
**How a Motor Works**
A motor functions by applying a magnetic field to a current-carrying conductor, causing it to experience a force that results in rotation. The direction of this force depends on both the direction of the current and the magnetic field. In AC motors, the rotor always rotates slightly slower than the magnetic field’s speed, while in synchronous motors, the rotor matches the magnetic field's speed exactly.

In summary, motors are essential components in modern technology, powering everything from small electronic devices to large industrial machinery. Understanding their types and working principles helps in selecting the right motor for specific applications.
LED Switch
LED Switches
LED Switches, belong to LED Light Switches serious, is also called flat-reset LED indication switch. The overall appearance of the product is a flat panel type, and can be automatically reset. The switch function part has an LED indicator, which not only accurately indicates the on/off state of the switch, but also makes it easy for the user to find the switch position in the darkness.

LED Push Button Switches are suitable for consumer products, computer products, test instruments, communication equipment. This light switch could contain momentary switches and self lock and it is very sensitive. It could work only with a little strength, just a bit like Micro Switches. Furthermore, the shape of the light could be round, square and five position as well. In addition, we could equip with all kinds of color for the LED On Off Switch, including white, yellow, red, green, etc. One more important advantage for our light switch is that we could equip with double color for the LED light switches, like red&green, red&blue, red&yellow.

Different from other switches, including Metal Switches, Rotary Switches, Slide Switches, Automotive Switches, LED switches is a flat design with no rocker protruding parts. The style is modern and fashionable, not easy to dust. Its opening and closing operations are all in the same position. After the release of the hand, the rocker automatically restores the flatness and feels better and lasts longer.
