Huawei’s net profit was approximately US$5.38 billion, a year-on-year increase of 0.38%. Operating income increased by 32% and operating profit increased by 3.78%. Huawei's telecommunications carrier business accounted for 55.7% of total revenue, while consumer business accounted for only 34.5% and the remaining 7.8% came from corporate business. The report also emphasized that in 2016 Huawei invested a lot of funds in R&D, accounting for 14.65% of its total revenue.
