Win10 a more memory-blooded SuperFetch service to be so correct

When running Windows 10 on a regular computer, the system often optimizes content through either web search or pre-compiled features by Xiao Bian. This means that the SuperFetch service is usually disabled. However, the problem arises when Windows 10 receives a major update—whether it's a version update, quarterly patch, or quality update. After such updates, SuperFetch tends to re-enable itself, which can lead to increased memory and CPU usage. That’s why some users notice their systems slowing down over time.

Some users might not be familiar with what SuperFetch does. In short, it's a pre-fetching service in Windows that loads frequently used applications into memory during startup, aiming to reduce application launch times. While this concept sounds helpful, it may not be suitable for all systems—especially those with lower performance. On such machines, SuperFetch can actually consume more resources than necessary. As a built-in Windows 10 service, Microsoft enables it by default to ensure system stability. If you want to disable it completely, you'll need to use the registry editor to control its behavior and minimize resource usage.

To disable SuperFetch, press Win + R, type "regedit," and open the Registry Editor. Navigate to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\SysMain

On the left side, create a new key named "Superfetch." Then, on the right side, create a new DWORD (32-bit) value called "Start" and set its value to 3.

Next, go to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\TimeBrokerSvc

Change the "Start" value here to 3 as well.

After making these changes, log out of your account or restart your computer. This will effectively optimize the SuperFetch service, preventing it from consuming excessive memory and CPU resources. As a result, your system should run more smoothly, reducing issues like freezing or lagging.
