In 2015, China produced a total of 64,000 plug-in hybrid passenger vehicles, of which vehicles using lithium iron phosphate batteries accounted for more than 95%; vehicles using ternary material batteries were less than 5%.
In 2015, the output of plug-in hybrid buses in China exceeded 24,000.
