Music Toss Notes 21: Step Up: Sun AUNE S7 Headphones, NVision 1020 Decoder

The AUNE S7 amp has recently been well-reviewed. There was a tour audition. I signed up and intended to use mojo as a decoder to push the Dharma D1000, HD600 and HD25.

Then things get out of hand:

The first is that I discovered that I did not have a balance line of the Bodhidharma (HD800 interface), the S7 hit the balance, so I borrowed one from partner A;

Buddy B recently received a decoder NV1020, which was the last generation of the NV4040 that had been used for undressed clothing. It was very interesting, just in the hands of partner A. Together, they greeted each other and the NV1020 sent me directly, borrowing the root RCA line.

NV1020 must be connected to the USB interface to use, no accident, I do not have an interface ... and then the clothes are always very pleased to send the Jinbo Pearl 2 interface to me

Finally I found myself borrowing a whole set of desktop equipment.

Although I've been tossing headphones for a long time, it's the first time that I've done a complete set of desktop devices. Write it casually

One, NV1020

Broadcast professional machine, discontinued for many years, the price is not expensive, but can not meet the status of a good pure look character, do not put the purchase link

I heard this changed the shell, it looks a little higher value. But the volume is still so large, the standard rack width, very moving, to the table and a half of the desktop will be gone.

Only one power switch on the front

On the back is coaxial, AES input, RAC output, balanced output and power connector.

The NV1020 must have a sound source to use, and an interface is required to connect to a PC.

Second, AUNE S7

S7 overalls are always sunning, but I still don't show my appearance...

The front of the two groups of balanced ports (single and double triple), a set of single port, the interface is quite comprehensive, but if more than one single port is good.

Short press the button to switch input, long press to switch gain.

On the back is the input: RCA and balanced output each pair

I tried to push Dharma D1000 (single-ended and balanced), Elear, K812, HD600, HD25, Mason v2, and P4 (PT+P2S). It can be seen that this pile is low resistance (except HD600), low-cost low-impedance amp is difficult to find, especially K812, it is difficult to find a more satisfactory amp can push. Although the S7 is more suitable for high-impedance headphones, but pushing these few low-impedance headphones are also good, very friendly to the low resistance. And the S7's low noise is so small that I can't hear low noise, even if it is a ER4PT without resistance.

Overall I am very happy with this amp. The volume is small and the function is very full. The fever is also small.

Just still hope that input switching and gain adjustment can be separated

Fit -

The NV1020 occupies a large area, very large and very large. Pearl 2 and S7 do not take up 1020

The code rate only supports 48 or less, initially put a 96/24 music silent. I almost thought it was a problem.

The other is the output level is a bit high, the volume is too large, when the S7 is pushed up to the friction can be out of the damping area.

There are only hot wire and Akihabara's spicy chicken line. I think the wire is still waiting for his own system to take it up and toss it.

About this set of voices

Surprisingly, the biggest surprise was K812. After plugging it in, I listened to Dejiu for a while. I directly scared the little partner who came to visit. Like chicken blood, the momentum was very powerful. The sound field was also big in a circle. Transparency was better than A lot higher, Timpani drummer directly from the weak scholar to a muscle man.

We are curious whether this is a large part of the amp's credit or the credit of decoding, and we have taken mojo up. Compared with 1020, the momentum is directly worse, but it is still stronger than the in-line mojo. Above the popular vocals, mojo only regained one game. The 1020 vocals appeared hard and lacked some charm.

Mason also refreshed my three views. The first was a line of mobile phones. It was not pushed aside at all. It was okay to plug in the mojo, but it was still a lot worse than pushing the big ears. Mojo then connected to S7, which directly increased Mason's size, and the sound field was greatly circulated. The transparency was significantly improved, and the extension at both ends was also improved. Mojo replaced it with 1020 and raised another step. The three consecutive upgrades are simply reborn and the Mason who was finally introduced is almost not a stopper, and I was greatly shocked by the potential of Mason.

The Bodhidharma D1000 originally thought I was very suitable for direct push headphones, but this time I feel that Bodhidharma is also available for some. First put on the LCD3 earmuffs, earmuffs are very thick, the top of the unit a little higher, directly to the sound field opened, the price is a little blunt. Then on the 1020+S7, a single port will be able to feel the improvement. The main reason is that the disjointed low frequency is controlled and replaced with the HD800 balance line. The S7 uses a balanced push control to better control and further improve the resolution. I was very satisfied with the Dharma D1000 in full body, so I didn't think much about pushing these days.

Compared with the K812 on the same station, the K812 has a better overall feel. However, the D1000 sound density is better than that of the K812, and it is much better than the K812. The jazz rock that the buddy calls to the Dharma D1000 cannot be too poisonous.

The HD600 and HD25 can only be single-ended, and it is not a problem to deal with them. It should be more appropriate to change the balance.

Overall, I think the NV1020 gave me a great surprise, good quality and suitable for classical. Usefulness indicates that the influence of digital sources is very large, and Pearl 2 is still an entry-level interface that limits its use. If it can use a better interface or a CD turntable, it should work better.

AUNE S7 overall no slot, and the price is reasonable, I think the portable can buy one, then the mojo this DA is better to carry the HD600 like the big ears, or boring play stuffed on stage to what, may be able to Refresh three views...

Later upgraded to a better desktop decoding, but also continue to push the balance of the flagship HD800 headset, cost-effective bunker
