The virtual reality department that Sony Pictures has just established is working with Reality One of Madison Wells Media to develop virtual reality experiences and raise funds for them based on their film and television works.
Sony's VR division has begun to create a series of narrative VR content for Sony Pictures. Reality One, founded in 2015 by Gigi Pritzker and Clint Kiske, recently teamed up with Wevr and Jon Fehru to create "Gnomes and Goblins."
Jake Zim, vice president of the Sony Pictures VR Division, said in a statement on Tuesday: “Sony Pictures will continue its efforts to bring new audiences and new revenue through the content of our studio. We will also rely on the industry’s Some of the most innovative talents and explore exciting opportunities for high-quality interactive storytelling in this new medium."
Pritzker added that the cooperation could "make Sony Pictures and Reality One make the most of Sony's rich film and television work and its relationship with famous storytellers."
